As I stated earlier (see below), my web page falls mainly into the cultural, social, and religious category. Yet that does not explain much, because websites of this group are many. So is my web page just another one of them? My dear viewer, it is up to you to judge.

In the ‘Introduction’ of my web page I tried to explain the reason for having a ‘Blog’ or website. Now I am not too sure if what I have written has conveyed to you, reader, my original idea - that is to build a bridge where important but hidden facts needed to be exposed to the public.

The mainstream media tells you only one side of the story because, as we know, it’s controlled by powerful forces, which don’t want real facts come to light, and so made public, for there is too much at stake.

Nonetheless there are still a good number of well-intentioned people looking for real facts on the Internet. But if you are one of them, are you getting what you are looking for? Maybe yes, maybe no.

Notwithstanding the Internet is a prodigious invention. However, it is double edged, one side cuts the desired object, the other harms you.

The Internet has become very popular. With its millions of websites, for one purpose or another, Internet is really a huge and ever-developing device, with, it seems to me, no limits how far you can go.

Nevertheless, how many of these sites are there for a legitimate purpose, and how many with the intent to deceive you by spreading falsehood and outright disinformation? And how do you distinguish between them?

Again it is up to you, reader, to weigh in the balance and see for yourself if this site suits you or not. I hope I can be of some help to you in discerning between reality and myths, falsehood from truth.

As an introduction I would like to state - this is not a religious, spiritual, political, social, cultural and educational website; yet from a holistic point of view, it’s all of them put together and even more - it is about life.

For a long time I wanted to publish my writings, but for several reasons I could not do it. One of the main reasons is that my writings are not politically correct and, of course, the popular media would not allow them to be made public.

I was born in Italy during WWII. I came to Australia about 24 years ago. I am father of three children, two boys, 22, 21, and a girl of 18 years old. I am Catholic - a former lay-missionary and religion teacher. From time to time, I am much involved with any type of work, which requires human, social and spiritual adviser [H.S.S.A] skills. Although, I am retired, a large amount of my time is spent in writing and reading books.

Thus my intellectual and spiritual interest varies, from religion, Christian spirituality, social, moral and cultural issues to history, politics, economics, education, and others.

For many years I have studied and analysed all religions and in particular Christianity. In the early 1970s I was trained as a catechete, i.e. religion and bible teacher. However, since my arrival here in Australia in 1981, I realized that my worldview was very limited. So my interest took a different line.

I found myself living in a world where many things did not made much sense at all, and also I did not like what I saw. I asked then if it was just me, or was it the same for other people. I recall one morning in the late 1980s, entering a library and finding a book, “Vatican” by Malachi Martin. I took it home and I read it in no time. When I finished reading it, I realised how little I knew about the Catholic Church, her contemporary history, Vatican II, her political side and her intricacies.

Since then I have never stopped searching for truth, and after much reading on various subjects, my knowledge of worldly issues greatly developed. Also I acquired a kind of passion for writing my feelings and thoughts. About seven years ago, I have finished writing my autobiography. However since I became computer-literate, about five years, my writing increased considerably.

Most of my letters and articles are now sitting on my desk, or inside the cabinet. As I mentioned, the subject of my writing differs from money & the banking system, political issues to religion, education, etc.

I want to share them with you, reader. I want you to be aware of things that the education system, media, and government are not willing to tell, namely the truth, in the way I understand and lived it for over three decades, but see it today under a totally new light, especially after the events of 9/11.

You do not have to believe what you read from me. You will make your own judgment and, if anything you find holds a totally different perspective, contact me. You are free to accept or refuse my material; but I would much appreciate your opinion.

A few words about "Shedding Light"

After my experience with my previous logos "Bridge Builder" on my first website [see www.nadirbridgebuilder.net], I decided that a new approach was needed, in order to reach new readers.

"Shedding Light" is more a direct approach than "Bridge Builder", because of several connotations that the word 'light' alone conveys, such as vision, sight, understanding, brightness, etc, and the verb 'shedding' conveys distribution around everything and everyone. Thus "Shedding Light" is a new beacon of light in our society, which is in the darkness.

Consequently, "Shedding Light" I see as tool, an instrument of God's word, as much - pardon me for the comparison - as John Baptist was, in the hand of God, and who also said:

"There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
He came as a witness to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him.
He himself was not the light, but he came to testify to the light.
The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. [John 1: 6-9]

For Jesus also says: "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." [John 9:5]

Yesterday & Today

About eight years ago, we as a family of five were still living in the bush, on the Walsh River, 36 Km from Atherton Tableland, in North Queensland. We owned a 40-acre bush property there since 1983. Initially, for about eight years, a modest timber cottage was our dwelling till we built and moved to a new three bedrooms, plus study, brick house, with veranda on two sides.

It took us a good three years of saving to build this second home, from 1988 to 1991. At the time, our children, two boys, and a girl, were home-schooled by my wife Angela and myself. When we left the Walsh River for NSW, our children’s ages were, Ruben 14, Zenith, 12, and Miriam 10.

In 1997, after spending about four months in Tumut, in the South of NSW, we moved to Taralga, 43 km north of Goulburn. Six months later, having decided that the climate of that area did not suit us, we moved here to Lismore at the end of the same year.

Three years later Ruben, after doing his first year at the New England University in Armidale, decided to leave and joined the Brothers of St. Francis in Sydney. He has been living as a religious Franciscan since. In 2001, Zenith, after finishing his Tertiary Preparation Certificate, and doing a stint of work here and there, joined the Royal Australian Navy. Miriam, after finishing her Tertiary Preparation Certificate, this year is doing her first year of nursing at Australian Catholic University in Sydney.

Thus this is a short eight year ‘portrait’ of my family, our moving about from state to state, home schooling our children, and finally our life as a couple, my wife Angela and I, here in Lismore.

Today

Now that our children are not with us any more, we have dedicated our life to work for the good of community and of Catholic Church - Angela with her pro-life apostolate, and I by writing letters, e-mails and articles to the newspapers and on the Internet. That is the reason for my web page – to tell you, dear reader, that you will find in us a friendly welcome.
