Archives: Basic Politics n.3 - Zionism & Hegemon

In my previous two articles, I illustrated how big government & politics are distinct, albeit never separate from each other. I believe though that my illustration would not be complete without these last two touches of “colour”, within the canvas of the geopolitical arena, namely hegemony[1] and Zionism.[2]

Therese: Joe, what really intrigues me is that in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) Communism has been a disaster on the economical level; similarly for China, during Mao Zedong’s time. Today, however, China’s economy is thriving. Why is it that Communism has been so bad for the USSR to its own colapse, but not for China?

Joe: These are two different cultures. The USSR was a product of the Bolshevik Revolution, at the expense of Christianity, which was established in Russia some time during the first millienium. Whereas China has never been evangelized properly to the extent it as has been in Russia.

Historically, China’s character has mostly been that of an empire – the hegemon[4]. And Communist ideology fits very well with the Chinese culture and the hegemons[5] in Beijing. Paradoxically, the capitalism that China has embraced today is nothing but a corporate fascist capitalism, which is in the hands of the party-state, and is used as a smokescreen to deceive the masses in Asia, and us here in west.

Therese: But even so, the successful economy is now benefiting the Chinese people. So Communism or not, at the end of the day, most of the westerners here would argue, ‘what matters is that China is better off today than ever’.

Joe: Yes, economically, China is getting better every day, and many people benefit from it, but not all. It is known that the industrial sector is supplied by the cheap labor of the millions of workers, (mostly ex-peasants), working between twelve and sixteen hours a day, seven days a week and living in appalling (see Wal-Mart[6])

conditions. In addition, there’s the prison slave labor[7], which is cost-free to the Chinese government, and once they are no longer productive they are executed. So for many the booming economy serves as a carrot, but the ‘red stick’ is never far behind it.

Therese: By ‘carrot ’, do you mean that the bread & butter, which represents the basic living for the Chinese it is seemingly assured, but at the cost of freedom, and ultimately, their spiritual life.

Joe: Yes. But to recap, China is what it is today, because her culture has been intrinsically pagan, as well imperialistic, i.e. hegemon (see notes 4 and 5). And because of that, people accept their lot fatalistically, maybe, not knowing any better.

Therese: I gather then that Culture here is the linchpin. I mean, if the Chinese people go along with anything the government demands of them, then they would never even think to rebel against the power of their Communist government that is oppressing them, for it’s part of their tradition and culture to obey the hegemons, i.e. the emperor.

In other words, no government, whether limited or big, can exercise its power fully and lead a country for long, unless the cultural factor is taken into consideration.

That is how big governments, such as the American government, could have become what they really are today: hegemons.

Whereas the European Union [see my previous article B. P. n.2] is on its way to become one.

Therese: You lost me now, Joe. Can you develop a bit more what you just said?

Joe: Well we have already discussed western civilization having been Christian for two thousand years, but no longer today. Thus once the Christian religion is finished, the culture goes with it.

First, what made our society change from Christian to antichristian [Talmudic[10]/Masonic/Zionist], was the gradual[11] adoption of a quasi total secular attitude[12] of mind during the last two centuries, through mandatory education[13], the mass media[14] and the entertainment industry[15].

The responsible are the same corporate elite, together with the money-changers who, [whether in government positions or behind the scene] wield political/financial power over domestic and foreign government policies, within and without the US government.

Thirdly, are these cultural changes irreversible? Well I’m not a prophet, but it seems to me that there is no way back, and if there will be any cultural “changes” in our society, they won’t be for the better.

Therese: Going back to your second question, ‘who’s responsible for what is going on today in our society’, Joe. Can you give a name to these people? Who are they?

Joe: Henry Ford’s book, “The International Jew[16]”, comes to mind. According this well known author, and magnate of the car industry, since the beginning of the 20^th century, the Jews were the cause of many ills within American society. He said there was no sector of the American life that was not affected by Jewish influence, from banking[17], trade[18] & commerce, education, etc. to the entertainment[19] industry.

Therese: You mentioned the name of Antonio Gramsci. Is there a link between Gramsci’s ideas, the Jews and modern political thinking, the so-called “neocons[20]”, or neoconservatives, so dominant today in the White House?

Joe: I believe there is a strong link there. Actually, it is more than a link. It is the “neoconservative” way in applying Marxism in our 21^st century, according the ‘gospel of Mikhail Gorbachev’[21], our modern Communist, pardon me, neocon, and disciple of Antonio Gramsci.

Joe: Yes, that is another name for 21^st century Socialism, which is the main philosophical ingredient for the incoming One World Government.

Therese: What about the Jews? Do you still think that they are a problem today in our society?

Joe: That is a very complex question, for there is not an easy answer. The Jews, in general, are not my concern. The real issue today, as in the past, is Judaism and Zionism, which are at the root of many social, cultural, religious, economical and political problems in our western society.

Therese: Judaism and Zionism - are they the same thing, I mean two names but one belief?

Joe: No, they are quite different and some time they come to a clash[22]. Judaism is a religion, as Mohammedanism, or Christianity is. As far as Zionism is concerned, religion has very little, or nothing, to do with it. It’s almost a purely a political movement (see note 2) through which the state of Israel was created, in 1948 with a hegemonic political agenda[23] of its own.

Joe: Sure it is. Not just that, Israel’s clash with Palestinians is the centre of the longest bloody confrontation in the last few centuries in the Middle East. However, we are digressing from our main point, for I don’t intend right now to deal with this hot topic.

Therese: Yes, I agree. But regarding Israel, can I ask you just one more question?

Therese: Can we say that, according to the Scriptures, the Israel of today is the rightful heir of the Promised Land?

Joe: No. Israel became a state through the British government’s[24] Balfour declaration of 1917. However, according to many sources, Israel is an usurper and is not even of Semitic blood or descent. About two third of Israelis today originate from Khazaria, and are known as Ashkenazim[25], that is from Russia, between the Caspian Sea[26] to the east, and the Black Sea to the south.

Joe: Actually, we are only at the beginning of a new turning point in history.

Joe: I mean that today we are living in a sort of transition period of human history that is between the eclipse of Christianity, and the dawn of a new era. In this new era, the hegemons, like the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, Arnsteins, and Eskeles, the Jew-Greek house of Seria,[27] George Soros, Maurice Strong, George Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev, Ariel Sharon, Dalai Lamas, the Moonies, the whole global Freemasonry[28] cabal, among many others, will have a busy time building their ‘Tower of Babel’ their New World Government for their godless and ill fated generation to come.

In this new era, seeing the results of his “Hegemon” doctrine, no doubt Antonio Gramsci will be rejoicing in his tomb.

Therese: Joe, isn’t this a rather gloomy picture for our future and the future of our children?

Joe: It is indeed, Therese. But this is the situation we are in. We cannot bury our heads in the sand and say that everything is all right. We have to face the reality with faith that the Lord Jesus Christ is with us, and if He is with us, nothing can harm[29] us, come what may.

Theories of hegemony attempt to explain how dominant groups or individuals (known as hegemons) can maintain their power -- the capacity of dominant classes to persuade subordinate ones to accept, adopt and internalize their values and norms.

Antonio Gramsci devised one of the best-known accounts of hegemony. His theory defined the State by its coercion combined with hegemony; according to Gramsci, hegemony consists of political power that flows from intellectual and moral leadership, authority or consensus, as distinguished from mere armed force.

Recently critical theorists Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe have re-defined the term "hegemony".

Hegemony was a concept previously used by Marxists such as Lenin to indicate the political leadership of the proletariat in a democratic revolution, but developed by Gramsci into an acute analysis to explain why the 'inevitable' socialist revolution predicted by orthodox Marxism had not occurred by the early 20th century. Rather, capitalism seemed even more entrenched than ever. Capitalism, Gramsci suggested, maintained control not just through violence and political and economic coercion, but also ideologically, through a hegemonic culture in which the values of the bourgeoisie became the 'common sense' values of all. Thus a consensus culture developed in which people in the working class identified their own good with the good of the bourgeoisie, and helped to maintain the status quo rather than revolting. The working-class needed to develop a culture of its own, which would overthrow the notion that bourgeois values represented 'natural' or 'normal' values for society, and would attract the oppressed and intellectual classes to the cause of the proletariat. Lenin held that culture was 'ancillary' to political objectives, but for Gramsci, it was fundamental to the attainment of power that cultural hegemony was first achieved. In Gramsci’s view, any class that wishes to dominate in modern conditions has to move beyond its own narrow ‘economic-corporate’ interests, to exert intellectual and moral leadership, and to make alliances and compromises with a variety of forces. Gramsci calls this union of social forces an ‘historical bloc’, a term taken from the anarcho-syndicalist Georges Sorel.

Gramsci stated that, in the West, bourgeois cultural values were tied to Christianity, and therefore much of his polemic against hegemonic culture is aimed at religious mores and values. He was impressed by the power Roman Catholicism had over men's minds and the care the Church had taken to prevent an excessive gap developing between the religion of the learned and that of the less educated. Gramsci believed that it was Marxism's task to marry the purely intellectual critique of religion found in Renaissance humanism to the elements of the Reformation that had appealed to the masses. For Gramsci, Marxism could supersede religion only if it met people's spiritual needs, and to do so people would have to recognise it as an expression of their own experience.

The State and Civil Society

Gramsci’s theory of hegemony is tied to his conception of the capitalist state, which he claims rules through force plus consent. The state is not to be understood in the narrow sense of the government; instead, Gramsci divides it between 'political society', which is the arena of political institutions and legal constitutional control, and 'civil society', which is the private or non-state sphere, including the economy. The former is the realm of force and the latter of consent. Roger Scruton, the eminent British academic and philosopher has written many books on philosophy, including “An Intelligent Person’s Guide to Modern Culture”.
