Paradox

20/1/2008

Some time ago, a friend of mine, Paul, came to see me in Byron Bay, where I was staying. He visited me, because he wanted to ask me some painful questions.  He was having some problems with his first son, Tim, who was challenging him over many issues.  I am not going to specify what these issues were, for it would take too long and it’s not the purpose of this writing.

To cut a long story short, Paul knew that he had failed his son to some extent, but he did not want to admit it directly.

Paul also asked me about the Catholic Church and what I thought about Vatican II.  That was not the first time he had asked me the same question.  Time and again, he asked the same thing, and I, for the umpteenth time gave him the same answer: “Vatican II has been a new stage for a new play; not for the good of Catholic Church, mind you; but for the Modernists.”

Paul did not like my reply.  He held his peace [he was unusually quiet] nevertheless.  At the end of his visit, he made this remark: “You are always so strong in your convictions, Nadir.”  I was.

However, what I remember now out of our whole conversation is Paul’s words: “I really don’t know what to believe any more.”  It was a bleak and hopeless statement.

Today, in reading the news that draws most my attention, I am almost tempted to say the same thing: “I really don’t know what to believe any more.”

Why?

I’ll try to explain.  Here is an example: - January 7 2008: "PRESIDENT PUTIN CONGRATULATES RUSSIANS ON ORTHODOX CHRISTMAS!"  "HILARY CLINTON SAYS PUTIN HAS NO SOUL!" the AFP Press reports[1]. The article states that Russian President Putin is a Christian Orthodox and that “he honors Christ not the Jews!”

Here we have an ex-KGB agent of the former Soviet Union, a communist country, as President of Russia today, declaring publicly his allegiance to Christianity.  On the other hand, Hillary Clinton, the wife of the former President of USA Bill Clinton, a rabid feminist - among many other evil things - in her running campaign for presidency in the United States today, says, “Putin has no soul!”

White sheep among the black sheep

Now who is the white sheep and who is the black sheep?  I want you, reader, to answer to this.

In the old days the color white always represented purity, innocence and holiness.  On the contrary, black symbolized darkness, death and everything that was evil.  So a black sheep among white sheep was understood as an odd, to say the least.

Not any more, today, with the new cult for ugliness, weirdness, and everything, which only a few decades ago was judged just plain diabolic, is now called cool.  Thus the new fad is: “Ugly is beautiful.”

That is what I call a paradox.

Until today, I thought the Russian President Putin was nothing but a puppet of the international oligarchy [maybe, he is], who happened to come to power because he fitted the bill for their globalist plan and is able to do their dirty work, in order to accomplish their antichristian designs.

Actually, what I read now discounts all that.  President Vladimir Putin has the welfare of all Russian people in his heart, because he is a Christian, he said.  If that is true, then that makes me wonder, if he is still a Communist.

In the case that he is still a Communist, something is definitely missing here.  Communism and Christianity are in direct opposition to each other.

By the same token, this applies also to what Hillary Rodham Clinton stands for, that is liberalism [pardon, Democrats]. I would rather call it Modernism, which is another name for Communism, which is antichristian[2].

Conclusion

What should I believe then, President Vladimir Putin or Hillary Clinton?  Neither is to be trusted; although, I am more tempted to believe the former than the latter.

For my trust is in Yahweh who hides his face from the House of Jacob; I put my hope in him.  [Isaiah 8:17]

Amen
